How Does Sentient Sculpt™ Work?
Sentient Sculpt™ is highly effective and virtually painless, utilizing 2.45 Gigahertz energy to target fat from the inside out. This innovative technology, combined with a flat-panel applicator, ensures that 80% of the Sculpt™ energy is absorbed directly into the fat layer rather than the skin.

Sentient Sculpt is the first to use Precision-GigaWave TechnologyTM, or 2.54 GHz. This microwave energy is more targeted to fat than any other non-invasive body contouring technology, delivering 80% of Sculpt’s energy directly to the fat. Delivery of the 2.45 Gigahertz primarily to the fat layer, but also to the skin, causes local adipolysis and neocollagenesis by heating the hypodermis to 55-60 degrees Celsius.
Sentient Sculpt reduces the appearance of cellulite by degrading fibrous type I collagen bands which create dimpling by tethering skin to underlying structures.
Sentient SculptTM uses Precision-GigaWave TechnologyTM. This wavelength is known to reach 55 to 60° Celsius in the subcutaneous layer (underneath the skin). This is the target zone for the fat and fibrous bands that create cellulite. This wavelength is known to target cellulite in a multimodal fashion:
It dissolves the fibrous type 1 collagen bands that tether the skin to underlying
tissues and create dimples
It destroys surrounding fat cells that exaggerate the dimpling
It tightens overlying skin to reduce the appearance of dimpling
CoolSculpting freezes fat cells causing cryolipolysis. Unlike CoolSculpting, Sentient SculptTM addresses cellulite and some practitioners have stated to see positive results in skin laxity.

Additionally, there are fewer potential complications with Sentient Sculpt.
Sentient SculptTM uses Precision-GigaWave TechnologyTM, which is 2.45GHz. This
wavelength is part of the larger RF spectrum. 2.45 GHz is proven to reach 55 to 60° Celsius in the subcutaneous layer (underneath the skin). This is the target zone for the fat and fibrous bands that create cellulite. The massage conducted by the practitioner, determines a mobilization of the tissues and promotes the restoration of the collagen-elastic tension.
With other devices that utilize radiofrequency waves, most of the energy is absorbed by the skin. It may reach the subcutaneous layer by way of heating the skin to an intolerable temperature. Due to patient discomfort, such technologies are not able to reach high enough temperatures to make a significant difference. They will only be able to achieve temperatures in the skin that stimulate neocollagenesis (new collagen) and skin tightening.
Patients often describe the treatment as feeling like a hot stone massage.
Sentient Sculpt is typically well-tolerated and our team goes through rigorous trainings to ensure the safe use of these devices. In the same manner as many body sculpting treatment devices, there is some risk of: itching, numbness, hardness, warmth, tenderness, redness, swelling, burns, bruising, nodules and blisters at the treatment area are usually transient and resolve within a few days of treatment.
Adverse effects at the treatment area such as, skin contour irregularities and asymmetry could occur after improper use of the system, or incorrect tissue evaluation.
The treatment quadrants for Sentient SculptTM are about 15cm X 15cm. You may treat up to 6 quadrants (treatment areas) at one appointment. We recommend a series of 4 treatments spaced every 4 to 8 weeks depending on the number of quadrants treated.
For more difficult cases it may take more. Some patients see a difference after only one treatment. Responses and results may vary.
Similar to other body contouring treatments, the time is dependent upon how many
quadrants are treated. Each quadrant takes about 15 to 17 minutes to complete. For 6 quadrants, it may take 1.5 hours.
Many providers opt to divide treatments if they are treating 6 quadrants.
There is no downtime with Sentient SculptTM. Patients are advised to avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, and jacuzzis for 24 hours, and direct sun exposure for 48 hours.
If treating 1 to 4 quadrants, patients should follow up in 4 to 6 weeks. If treating 5 or 6 quadrants, treatments should be spaced to every 6 to 8 weeks.
We recommend professional lymphatic massage twice weekly for two weeks following treatment for best results. For many patients, time and finances may not allow for this, and they are asked to perform self-massage daily for 5 to 10 minutes for the first 2 weeks.
Patients should drink about 2 liters of water daily and maintain moderate diet and exercise.
